MPD investigates weekend thefts

Metter Police Department Officers were dispatched to the Clyde’s Convenience Store on East Broad St. around 4:50 a.m. on Friday where the front glass door to the store had been broken out.
Upon their arrival, officers searched the building and found no one inside. Clyde’s management showed up and stated that there were no items missing from inside of Clyde’s.

GMA Board to visit Metter May 16-18

The City of Metter will roll out the red carpet for visiting dignitaries from throughout the state this week when the Georgia Municipal Association Board of Directors come to town.

The knock-out roses planted at L.C. Anderson Memorial Library are now being pulled-out by an unknown suspect(s). The thefts of five bushes have occurred in four different incidents dating back to April 26.
