MHS cross country competes in State Meet

The Metter High boys’ and girls’ cross country teams took part in the State Meet this past weekend. The girls’ team finished as the 18th team led by Angel Jarvis in 25th place with a time of 25:01. She was followed by Raquel Alvarado, 109th, 32:27; Kaitlyn Dekle, 122nd; Jessica Ventura, 124th and Lizbeth Rodriguez, 140th.

The boys finished 23rd in state behind Jovhany Hinojosa, 57th with a time of 21:09; Brendan Wood, 102nd with a time of 23:25; and Leo Mann, 107th with a time of 24:18. Also running for the Tigers were William Salinas, 157th, and Luis Hinojosa, 160th.
