MS Eagles win over Vidalia Heritage

DEA’s Middle School Eagles won 28-14 over Vidalia Heritage Academy in football action in Stillmore on Sept. 15.

The Eagles scored first when Banks Booth connected with Hadden Nease for a 16-yard touchdown pass. Richard Braddy passed to Booth, and the two-point conversion was good to make the score 8-0.

The Eagles returned to the end zone when Booth connected with Clayton Hood for a 38-yard touchdown pass. Another successful Braddy-to-Booth conversion moved the score to 16-0.

Booth hit paydirt next, this time on an 89-yard run. The conversion was unsuccessful and the Eagles led 22-0.

The Eagles’ final visit to the end zone came when Brody Fleming intercepted the ball and returned it 68 yards for a touchdown. The conversion attempt failed and the Eagles were ahead 28-0.

Vidalia Heritage had two touchdowns to close the gap, making the final score 28-14.
