This Friday night the Metter Tigers will welcome the Jenkins County War Eagles into The Jungle. The Tigers remain ranked number two in Class A football and bring a 4-0 record into the contest. Metter is also 1-0 in region play. 

Jenkins County comes into the game with a record of 0-4 overall and 0-1 in region play. The Eagles lost their first region game this past week, falling to Claxton 25-12. 

Jenkins County is led by head coach David Johnson who is in his second year with the team. 

Last season Jenkins County finished the year with a 3-7 record. The all time record between the schools is 23-11-3. 

Metter won last year’s match up by a score of 35-7. Jenkins County has not beaten Metter since 2009. 

Kick off is set for 7:30.
