The number-four ranked Metter Tigers will be back in action this Friday night as they welcome the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers into The Jungle for a big region game.

The Tigers come into the match-up with a record of 6-0 overall and 3-0 in region play. The Buccaneers are 2-3-1 overall and 2-1 in the region. Both teams will be coming off of a bye week.

The Bucs’ two region wins came against Bryan County and Claxton. They defeated Bryan County 42-0 and Claxton 32-6. They lost against ECI two weeks ago by a score of 17-6.

This will be the toughest test of the season thus far for Metter. Last year MCA finished second in the region with their only region loss coming at the hands of the Tigers. The Tigers won that contest by a score of 27-7. Metter leads the all time series 7-4.

The Tigers will be looking to keep their undefeated season alive and their march towards a third straight region title on track with another win this Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Come out and support the Tigers.
