Round 3: Metter vs. Warren County;Tigers win 49-8 over Mitchell Co.

Reco Coney heads into the end zone on Friday, protected by #23 Danny Cheley. Coney scored two touchdowns in Metter’s 49-8 win over the Mitchell County Eagles. The 12-0 Tigers will host Warren County on Friday night in the next round of State Playoffs.

The Metter Tigers will face Irwin County this Friday night in the Jungle. Tickets will be $15 each ($13 for students). 

Going to the game?

Tickets can be purchased in advance beginning at noon today online at gofan.com. Or you can purchase tickets on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Metter High School office.

Note: Once you have entered the complex, you must stay. If you leave you will have to purchase a new ticket for readmission.

Metter Athletic Booster Club members need to purchase their tickets in advance or at the front entrance to the stadium if they plan to park in the Booster Parking Lot. 

All GHSA pass holders must enter through the main gate. No tickets will be sold at the booster entry gate this week. 

Gates will open at 6 p.m. on game night.

Fans will not be allowed to stand against the railing. All fans are asked to remain seated during the game.

Varsity basketball game canceled

Friday night’s varsity basketball game against Wheeler County has been canceled and will not be rescheduled, according to Athletic Director Vicki Bowen.
