The clubs have not been sitting idle for members of the Metter High Tiger golf teams, which will be heading to the State Golf Meet on May 17-18 at the Nationals Course at Lake Oconee.

The weekend of May 1-3 was full of competitions and wins for the Metter Tiger golfers. 

Laura Kate Kessler won the long drive contest at the Blue Devil Classic, hosted by Statesboro High School on May 1 at the Georgia Southern University Golf Course.  She won with a drive of 285 yards.

Ian Glanton won the 54th annual Dan L. Lanier Invitational on May 2 at Willow Lake Golf Course. Ian shot a 71 on Saturday and a 69 on Sunday.  

Lawson Salter (not pictured) won second place in his flight, shooting a 75 on Saturday and a 73 on Sunday.  Gentry Tootle won first place in his flight, shooting an 81 on Saturday and a 72 on Sunday.
