“All Heart, All Eagles” ... That’s the theme for Homecoming 2019 at David Emanuel Academy this week.
Students and faculty are enjoying a week of festivities, which will conclude with a community-wide celebration on Friday afternoon.
The highlight of the day’s events is the parade at 1 p.m. at the school, followed by the pep rally in the school gymnasium. Former headmaster David Beecher and his wife, Mary Ann Beecher, a long time teacher at the school, will serve as grand marshals.
During the game, an Alumni Tent will be set up. Alumni can sign up at the tent for prizes to be given away each quarter of the game.
During halftime of the DEA vs. Vidalia Heritage game, the homecoming court will be presented and the 2019 Queen and King will be crowned.
The entire senior class will be represented on the field during the crowning of the new Queen and King, including Ethan Wells, Maddux Bedgood, Boslie Booth, Hannah Jackson, Skylar Sikes, Maci Nease, Jenna Mosley and Tatum Taylor.
Underclassmen on the Homecoming Court will include Lana Douglas, 9th grade; Moya Collier, 10th grade; and Alana Donaldson and Kaitlyn Reininger, 11th grade.
