David Emanuel Academy varsity and JV boys lost to the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans in basketball action.

The varsity boys lost 66-58 despite strong scoring from Dane Arrington with 19 and Randon Williams with 16. Also tossing in points for the Eagles were Dylan  Byrd, Billy Martin and Banks Booth with 4 points each and Garrett Claxton with 3 points. 

In the JV boys’ 32-45 loss, Brody Fleming and Banks Booth each hit double digis with 17 and 10 points, respectively. Also scoring for DEA were Ethan Fields and Tucker Free with 2 points each.

Against Twiggs Academy, the varsity boys dropped a 26-69 decision while the JV boys won 37-26.

In the varsity match, Dylan Byrd scored 13 points to lead the Eagles, while Reece Yeomans and Brody Fleming tossed in 5 points each and Garrett Claxton added 3 points.

In the JV boys’ victory, Brody Fleming tossed in 20 points to lead the Eagles, while Landon Lindsey scored 6, Ethan Fields had 5, Peyton Lee tossed in 4 and Richard Braddy added 2 points.

The varsity Eagles won 50-37 over Fullington Academy behind the scoring of Dane Arrington with 20 and Randon Williams with 14. Also scoring for DEA were Garrett Claxton with 8, Dylan Byrd with 4 and Reece Yeomans and Banks Booth with 2 points each.

The JV boys had a narrow 27-28 loss to Fullington Academy despite Banks Booth’s 15 points. Also scoring for DEA were Brody Fleming with 6 and Landon Lindsey, Ethan Fields and Layton Terwilliger with 2 points each.

The JV boys also played Bulloch Academy, coming away with a 16-58 loss. In that match-up, DEA’s Brody Fleming scored 7, Peyton Lee, 5 and Ethan Fields 3.
