This Friday night the Metter Tigers will be at home once again as they welcome the South Effingham Mustangs into The Jungle. The Mustangs were off this past Friday, so this will be their first game of the season.

South Effingham is under the leadership of head coach Nathan Clark. Clark is entering his third season and has a total record of 7-14.

Last season saw the Mustangs make the jump to 6A, and they struggled with the transition, posting a record of 1-9.

In last year’s meeting, Metter came away with a 26-3 victory and really turned heads.

This season there will be no sneaking up on any teams, and South Effingham will be looking to get their season off on the right foot while getting a little revenge from last year.

Metter will come into the game ranked number six in the state. They are up two spots after last week’s win.

Kick off is set for 7:30.

Going to the game?

Admission for Friday’s game is $8 per person for kindergarten and up. Booster passes will be accepted. Tickets will be sold at the gate; gates will open at 6 p.m.

Hand sanitizer stations will be set up around the concession stand areas.

Remember: Fans are not allowed to stand against the railing during the game. This blocks the view of those seated in the stands.

Additionally, no fans will be admitted onto the field after the game.

NOTE: If you exit the facilities, you must pay to re-enter.
