Tiger golfers win on GSU course

The Metter High School golf team, coached by William Altman, played in a 9-hole tournament on Tuesday, March 30, at the Georgia Southern Golf Course.  

The participating schools were Metter High School, Southeast Bulloch High School and Savannah Christian Preparatory School.  Both the boys and girls team from Metter placed first in the tournament.  

For the boys, Metter High placed 1st, Savannah Christian placed 2nd and Southeast Bulloch placed 3rd. For the girls, Metter High placed 1st, Savannah Christian placed 2nd and Southeast Bulloch placed 3rd.  

Individual scorers for Metter were Ian Glanton, who shot a 35; Gentry Tootle, 38; Lawson Salter, 42; Cole McCranie, 42; Brooks Longgrear, 43; Broc Altman, 43; Jackson Longgrear, 45; Colin Bowen, 52; Laura Kate Kessler, 39; Megan Heath, 54.

Two alternates, Jack Brinson Carter and Kason Johnson, played individually.
