Hazel Jeanette Hutto Lynn, 87, of Collins passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia. She was born at home in Emanuel County on August 16, 1934 to Henry and Ethel Vera Phillips Hutto and had lived in Tattnall County most of her life. She was a seamstress that also loved knitting, quilting, and cooking. Her favorite pastime was collecting cookbooks and sharing the recipes with her greatest joy, her grandchildren. Mrs. Lynn attended Pine Grove Baptist Church in Collins and was preceded in death by her parents, children, Sheila McCoy and Veila Powell; siblings, WB Hutto, Louise Goff, Loretha Lynn, and Mavis Wilds; grandsons, Clay Ryals and Shane McCoy; and a great grandson, Logan Harper.
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Brenda) Sapp of Reidsville, Wendell (June) McCoy of Claxton, Teila (Walter) Driggers of Collins, Charles (Susan) Greer of Glennville, and Gaybriel “Briel”(Davide) Prince of Collins; brother, Alvin Hutto of Florida; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Reverend Bo Ryals and Mr. Walter Driggers officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Blizzard, Matt Blizzard, Dillon Blizzard, Steven Blizzard, Zach Hutto, and Kyle Driggers.
