On March 16, 2023, Jeannie Jarriel was called home by God. She was the wife of Burnon and they had been in ministry all of their married life of 54 years.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked most of her life, and for 38 years was manager for Brown Nursing Home of Statesboro. She loved God, going to church, singing in the church choir and working with the elderly.
Jeannie is survived by her husband, Burnon; 3 children Donna, Peggy and Dwain. She has 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mildred; one daughter, Elaine; and one grandson, Michael.
Her viewing will be Saturday, March 18, from 5-7 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 19, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
Burial will be at Lake Cemetery in Metter.
Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
