A few seats remain available for Thursday’s annual State of the Community Breakfast, which will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Willow Lake Golf Club. Last year’s event was filled to capacity and it is expected that the remaining seats for this year will be quickly taken. 

The program will include updates from State Senator Jack Hill, State Representative Butch Parrish; County Commission Chair Glyn Thrift; Metter Mayor Billy Trapnell; and Board of Education Chair Craig Lanier.

Additionally, a big community announcement will be made during the program and the new 2016-17 Chamber Magazine will be unveiled.

The program will begin with breakfast at 8 a.m. with the program starting promptly at 8:30 a.m.
