Candler County Hospital has suspended visitation, effective Tuesday, Aug. 4, for all patients.

The Emergency Department will suspend visitors with the exception of a parent/guardian of an underage child or a caregiver who would need to be in the room with the patient.

No family members will be allowed to wait in the lobby with the exception of surgery patients; these will be in the lobby until they are placed in the surgery waiting area.

As always anyone who enters the facility must pass the wellness check and wear a mask.

The only exception to the no temperature rule is a patient wishing to be seen in the ER. They will need to wear a mask, but regardless of temperature, they can be seen.

Should you have any questions or medical concerns, call Candler County Hospital, 912-685-5741.

Should you need immediate medical attention, visit the Emergency Department.
