On Thursday, August 12, 2021, Sheriff John Miles and the Candler County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a National Night Out event. The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 1015 E. Hiawatha St., Metter, GA.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods a safer, more caring place to live.

This event is held to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community under positive circumstances.

Food trucks, bouncy houses, live music, K-9 and equipment demonstrations, DJ, and more will be featured during the event. Don’t forget your swimsuit!

The Candler County Sheriff’s Office is accepting sponsors for the event. Businesses and individuals wishing to sponsor the event will be recognized with their names and logos appearing on the Sheriff’s Office's social media platforms.

Checks may be dropped off in person or mailed to Candler County Sheriff’s Office, P.O. Box 693, Metter, GA 30439.
