Metter Rotary Club will host a community-wide clean-up of the Recreation Department Nature Trail off Pine Street. The trail has suffered quite a bit of damage in recent years due to hurricanes and wind storms in the area.

The clean-up will take place on Oct. 26 beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing until the project is complete.

The trail, particularly the bridge on the trail, sustained extensive damage following Hurricane Michael in October 2018, forcing the county to close the trail to public access. The trail was reopened to the public in the spring of this year, after a public-private partnership for the reconstruction of the bridge.
