Community donates to Toys for Tots

Christmas will be brighter for a number of area children thanks to donations at this year’s Toys for Tots campaign.

The campaign was sponsored by the Marine Corps Reserves in partnership with local businesses. The donations were picked up last week to be distributed in time for Christmas.

Local businesses serving as drop off sites were Bevricks Char House Grille; Metter Prek-8th grade complex; Metter Bank; Probation Office; Candler County Boys & Girls Club; L.C. Anderson Memorial Library; Metter Ford; Metter Chiropractic Center; Randy’s Wrecker & Service Center and Synovus.

Collecting toys for distribution were Marsha Holloway (l) and Lawana Marlin.
