Five local students have been named to the 2020-2021 Candler Youth Leadership Class. The students, who are all sophomores at their respective schools, will take part in a number of planned leadership-building projects throughout the school year.

Planned activities include tours of local industries, a Public Safety Day and opportunities to work with local leaders to identify strengths and weaknesses in the community.

Members of this year’s Candler Youth Leadership Class include Emma Taylor and Riley Griner from David Emanuel Academy, Jasper Stone from Metter High School and Elizabeth Grace O’Brien and Smith Dekle from Pinewood Christian Academy.

The Candler Youth Leadership Program is coordinated through Metter-Candler Chamber of Commerce.
