Qualifying for city elections will begin on Monday, Aug. 16, and continue through Friday, Aug. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day at Metter City Hall.

Positions up for election include Mayor; District 1, Seat 2, currently occupied by Councilman Paul MacGregor and District 2, Seat 4, currently occupied by Councilwoman Rashida Taylor.

The qualifying fee for mayor is $207, while the fee for city council positions is $90. All terms are for four years.

The election will be held on Nov. 2. Deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 2 election will be Oct. 4.
