Metter City Council has  scheduled a public hearing for 5:15 p.m. on Monday regarding the city’s proposed 11.739 millage rate, a rollback rate of 0.244 mills from the 2019 rate. The meeting will be held at Metter Police Department.

This is the third hearing set by council after internal errors led them to reschedule the hearing on two separate occasions.

Candler County Board of Education adopted their 14.0 millage rate last month, which was a slight increase from the rollback rate.

Also in August, Candler County Commission adopted a rollback rate of 12.379 mills for both the incorporated and unincorporated portions of the county and 1 mill for Candler County Hospital.
