The spotlight is ready to shine over downtown merchants this Saturday at the Second Annual Christmas Open House. Metter’s downtown merchants cannot wait to greet each of you and showcase all the Christmas gift ideas, decorations, boutiques and eateries. 

We have all worked and given our best as we want the best for each of you. We appreciate your support and shopping with downtown merchants and we want you to get acquainted with all the new dazzling shops.

Where does each one of you need to be all day Saturday? Of course, no other place than downtown Metter for a Christmas stroll of old and new businesses that cannot wait to see a big crowd.

Begin your stroll at Ace Hardware, the place for all your building and paint needs. Let Trent, Pernal, Cathy and Clevie show you through their helpful place. 

Onto End Zone Grill, where you can dine on the best chicken wings, hamburgers, onion rings, fries and a menu of much more. Eat inside or take out.

Next is Canoochee Creek Market, a new shop filled with beautiful decor, candles and accessories for everyone on your list, including a new baby shop.

The next stop is West Broad Flooring, another new shop. Let Charlie and Kim Ethridge show and tell you about the new and innovative flooring for your home. Charlie is well experienced in all styles of flooring at affordable prices. 

Let your journey then continue to Tom’s Pawn City where Tommy Hunt and staff will greet you and invite you to check out their store full of inventory. You will find something for yourself and others on your Christmas list.

Then cross over the park to East Georgia Healthcare where you will be greeted by their friendly staff waiting to tell you all the services provided, including family planning, dental services and chronic disease care. Enjoy a bag of hot popcorn as you tour.

Walk on down to Kindred Yoga & Wellness and their refreshment counter. Let Kim and Sandra show their yoga skills and the beauty of keeping in shape and feeling great. 

On to The Flower Gallery, where you can check out all of Gay and Maci’s talent in decorating and designing for Christmas arrangements that are already on display. The two are getting busy decorating homes and businesses for the holidays.

Don’t miss Martha’s Gift Shop that is decorated from the front door to the back with the spirit of Christmas. You will find gifts for everyone on your list at affordable prices. 

Then it is on down to Vickie’s Antiques & More. You will find unusual and beautiful antiques that are only available at Vickie’s. Let her tell you about her inventory of collectibles exclusively at Vickie’s.

Cross the street to Burlap & Lace. Let Jessica pour you a cup of her Black Rifle Coffee and enjoy a Byrd Brothers cookie as you browse her exciting shop filled with clothing, jewelry and home decor.

Walk around the corner to Vault 206 where you will find a shop filled with the latest styles of clothes and accessories. Crystal and Shannon are ready to help you accessorize from their shop for the holidays.

Walk on down to Farmers Furniture and check out the new exciting lines of sofas, tables, lamps, bedroom suites and appliances. Need a new TV and cabinet? Check with Manager Debra on all your needs from Farmers. Turn left at Metter Depot and see the long building with the big sign “Antiques” over the front entrance and you will find the new location for Vintage Corner Market. Jackie, Sue and Esther, owners, cannot wait to show you all over their building filled with antique surprises and more.

Don’t miss Red’s Nice Junk Store. You will see a sign over the door that reads “Trading Post” next to Hong Kong Restaurant, Owners Sissy and Red have a store filled with collectibles you just can’t wait to see. Red’s nice junk becomes treasures you will enjoy taking home with you.
