Bi-Lo to have new hours, limited products while they move to Food Lion

Bi-Lo will be closing its doors as a Bi-Lo but will reopen in early March as a Food Lion.

As of today (Wednesday, Jan. 20) Metter Bi-Lo will have new hours as they prepare for the transition. Hours of operation will now be Monday-Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Bi-Lo has received the last general goods shipment, but they will still be receiving small limited supply shipments of fresh meat, produce, milk, eggs and bread for the next two weeks.

“It won’t be fully stocked shelves, like I’d want, but there will be basics on the shelf,” said Manager Cody Ellison.

On the Metter Bi-Lo Facebook page, a post addressing the switch was made, saying, “We have proudly served this community for many years, and we look forward to doing the same with Food Lion. The name on the outside of the building will change, but the faces that you have come to know and love will remain the same.

“We appreciate the support the community has shown us throughout the years. We also appreciate every associate that has ever worked at the store. They have sacrificed so much to make this a great place to shop. From holidays and hurricanes to pandemics, you guys were here for the community when they needed you most.”
