“The plants are in the ground, and they are being analyzed now to see how close we are to harvesting.”

Reginald Reese, CEO of The Green Toad Hemp Farm, shared this update as his business, which opened in Metter earlier this year, prepares for their first local harvest.

Once the hemp is harvested, Reese said post-harvest production will begin. This includes drying and handling the crop to prepare the CBD for wholesale and resale.

The Green Toad Hemp Dispensary will open soon in Metter on Hwy. 46 West. Reese said that much of the dispensary’s manufactured inventory will include hemp grown at another location until the local crop can be harvested and prepared.

The full line of their products will be sold in the store or can be purchased online (www.thegreentoadhemp.com), Hirsch added.
