Two Metter men were arrested last week in connection with a break-in at Automite.

According to Candler County Sheriff’s Captain Justin Wells, Automite Towing Yard was broken into between Oct. 3-4.

“Three vehicles and an ATV were stolen,” Wells reported. “The fence/gates were damaged ... and the mini storage place next door. We were able to locate all three vehicles and the ATV.”

Charles Perry James Jr. and Joseph Gwynn have been arrested in connection with the case and charged with theft by taking motor vehicle, entering an automobile and  criminal damage to property. More charges are pending.

Metter Police Department assisted with the investigation.
