Wolff honored by Metter Boosters

Halftime of Friday’s MHS-ECI show was highlighted by the recognition of Willow Lake Golf Club and golf professional Gregg Wolff (l) by members of the Metter Athletic Booster Club. Surrounded by Willow Lake Board Members, Tiger golfers, friends and family, Wolff received a plaque presented by Booster President Joey Pittman (r) as announcer Dustin Durden read:

“For as long as Metter High School has had a golf team, the school has also had the unwavering support of Willow Lake Golf Club.”

Of Wolff, Durden read, “In the 35 years he has served as Golf Pro, Gregg Wolff has expanded the club’s commitment to the Tiger golf program. His passion has always been to grow the game of golf through youth.”

Durden also acknowledged the support of the Willow Lake Men’s Golf Association to help with one of the Booster’s largest fundraiser, the Night Golf Tournament.

Also during halftime, ECI expressed their appreciation to Wolff and Willow Lake for their support of Bulldog athletics.

Spring athletic teams that were recognized during the halftime program included the Metter High baseball team and the Metter High and Metter Middle boys’ and girls’ golf teams.
